My name is Rik de Groot. From a young age, I have had a keen interest in technology. Thanks in part to my father and my brother Tim, who shared that same passion, we could hardly be kept out of the workshop back then. Tinkering, building, and improving were part of my life from the start.
Over the years, I have built up extensive knowledge and experience in both metalworking and machine technology. For the past ten years, I have worked as a service technician, part of which as an independent entrepreneur. During that period, I worked at various companies and got to know many different machines and installations up close.
That practical experience has taught me how important reliability, quality, and fast solutions are. I bring those values with me every day in the work we do now.
My name is Tim de Groot. Just like my younger brother, I couldn’t be kept out of the workshop when I was younger. Where others didn’t want to get their hands dirty, I always thought: that must be fixable. That curiosity and solution-oriented mindset have always driven me to learn how things work and how to make them better.
I have been working in machine construction for over fifteen years, focusing on the maintenance, repair, and optimization of metalworking machines. In recent years, I have been active as an independent entrepreneur in the machinery trade, which has given me great insight into the market, applications, and value of machines.
I have experience with machines of all shapes and sizes and combine my technical knowledge with practical market insight. This allows me to quickly assess what is needed and how something can best be handled.
Together we form a strong team and founded Gromach. The name comes from “Groot Machines,” representing both our surname and our focus: knowledge, experience, and a wide selection of machinery.
